The Hub

Welcome to The Hub at Hunters Lane

A Martha O'Bryan Academic Student Union

Mission:

The Hub at Hunters Lane is a place for all students to spend their after-school hours in an environment that encourages success throughout high school. The Hub is more than an after-school program. It is a safe, inclusive space where students can meet their needs and explore their interests.

Academics:

Students who take part in The Hub receive an extra 1-4 hours of academic reinforcement Monday-Thursday. This is a 15-60% extension to the school day. Students are able to choose between Homework Help, Subject Specific Tutoring, and ACT Prep.

College Prep:

The Hub has partnered with Hunters Lane to assist students with college exploration, applications, essays, scholarships, college seminars, and financial aid. The Hub will pay for one college application for all The Hub Senior participants.

Enrichment:

Enrichment activities provide the bridge between the activities students want to take part in and the skills sets students need to learn. Enrichment activities may include healthy cooking, spoken word, small-group and one-on-one counseling, music recording, service learning, leadership development, and much much more.

Work Readiness:

Students may choose to take part in multiple job readiness seminars including financial literacy, job application assistance, and interviewing 101.
