International Education for A Multicultural World

Description:  The International Baccalaureate pathway strives to develop inquiring, knowledgeable, and caring students who will build a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. While in this program of study, students will engage in rigorous college-level coursework (including an 4,000 word Extended Essay and multiple Internal Assessments) with the opportunity to earn college credit for each course, pending their test results at the end of their senior year. This pathway encourages students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right. 

 

Potential Careers: Because the IB curriculum is dedicated to crafting inquiring, knowledgeable and caring students, the skills acquired in the curriculum are applicable to any potential career.

Specific Annual Activities and Clubs: National Honor Society (NHS), Debate Club/Team, 40 hours of focus on community service or cultural awareness, Cultural Experiences Club 

Early Post-Secondary Opportunities: Dual Credit Personal Finance (10th Grade), IB Exams for each course (12th Grade)

10th grade: Scientific Research & AP World History

11th grade: IB Theory of Knowledge I, IB English III, IB Math, IB History of the Americas I, IB Spanish or French, IB Theatre or IB Art or IB Psychology

12th grade: IB Theory of Knowledge II, IB English IV, IB Math, IB History of the Americas I, IB Spanish or French, IB Theatre or IB Art or IB Psychology
